Lent... Weekend Edition...

Day 28: March 20th
“Are we there yet?”
Wow what a journey we have been on these past month. Time is just flying by. Today I want you to think about a trip that you have taken. One that took what seemed like forever to you. Sometimes Lent seems like it will never end, although it is only 40 days sometimes it feels a lot longer than that. As we round into the last couple of weeks of Lent this is when the temptation to put the devotions aside get really strong. The temptation to ask “are we there yet?” Or “do we have to do another day of this?” We all fall into those moments where we are wondering if we are ever going to reach our destination. Some of us may wonder if the journey is worth it. Some of us have already given into temptation. No matter where you find yourself on this Saturday remember that God wants to see us grow. That growth doesn’t just happen during the season of Lent but all throughout the year. It is a continual journey that you started the day you accepted Christ into your life.

Be blessed as you continue on your journey through Lent.

Sunday
It is the start of another week and we are getting closer to Easter. Since today is Sunday I thought I would do something a little different. I am going to name of the top ten reasons you should not miss church today.
10. It doesn’t cost anything to get in.
9. It’s a good place to meet new friends and visit with the old ones
8. There isn’t much on TV on Sunday mornings
7. You look very nice in your Sunday best
6. They might serve doughnuts in Sunday School
5. Kevin has the choir sing some pretty amazing songs
4. The kids worship bulletin usually has a fun game or two in it
3. You wouldn’t get a stump your parents question if you didn’t come
2. It is a great place to think, pray and to make awesome crafts 
1. You might miss out on something that is really important!
